Inauguration of the new logistics platform in the ZAL Port (Prat)

The President of the Port of Barcelona and former Conseller de Territori, Damià Calvet, has officially inaugurated the new Gesica Cargas y Trincajes and Noray Containers Logistics facilities. 12,000 square meters that join the 26,000 that the Embalex Group has in Santa Perpetua.

Together with the president of Feteia, Enric Ticó, and the president of the International Association of Authorized Economic Operators (OEA), Antonio Llobet, Mr. Calvet has welcomed to the port a company that is “a benchmark in industrial packaging, with 103 years of history and which is an essential part of the logistics chain, making the companies that make up the port community more competitive ” .

The Gesica logistics platform has the Customs Warehouse accreditation and authorization for the handling of ADR goods, a bridge crane with a lifting capacity of 70 metric tons and an esplanade for the storage of containers with dangerous goods. The proximity of the new facilities to the Hutchison Ports BEST terminal gives the infrastructure added value in terms of capacity.

In addition to promoting Gesica's new business lines such as warehousing and consolidation of merchandise, deconsolidation, storage and conditioning of cargo in containers. The new facilities will also facilitate rental and purchase services at Noray Containers . In fact, the sale of used and new containers will continue to promote the division of transformation of maritime containers for other uses such as warehouses, commercial premises, restaurants or offices.
